Art/Work – Creativity from the Cube 2010, presented by the Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City (www.ArtsKC.org), celebrates the amazing artistic talents of people working for Kansas City metropolitan-area businesses. Participating companies hold in-house visual arts, literary arts, and performing arts programs for their employees who are artistically talented, and then select the best of their employee entries to take part in Art/Work Week – a week-long celebration in Kansas City’s Union Station and on The Copaken Stage. Companies participate in:
-
“On Display” Visual Arts Exhibition
-
“On Page” Literary Journal
-
“On Stage” Performance Competition
In 2010, more than 700 employees from 25 companies entered original visual art, literary authorings, and performances in an effort to represent their company during Art/Work Week 2010.
Like recognizing your employees who are athletically-inclined, Art/Work gives companies an opportunity to recognize employees who are artistically-inclined, and showcase their talents on a citywide level!
If your company/organization is interested in participating in 2011, contact Kelly Seward, ArtsKC Programs Director, seward@ArtsKC.org, or (816) 994-9226. Art/Work is a business program of the Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City (www.ArtsKC.org).
